Introduction

MCDC (Madrahani Community Development Center) Rupandehi, Nepal is non profit, politically non-aligned NGO which was founded in 2005. It focuses on helping the poor and backward communities of Nepal specially women and children. MCDC Nepal is committed in supporting self-reliant and sustainable development through organizing women & children at the grassroots level and supporting them as they carry out action research to improve their lives.


Since the human nature is sensible and creative, the creation of new ideas, thoughts is developed for themselves automatically. So, realizing this fact, "MCDC Nepal" always encourages them in their new ideas and new interests.

"MCDC Nepal" has realized the necessity of implementing programs for basic needs such as domestic earning works, health education, formal education, environmental & ecological education etc.

Objectives Of MCDC :-

1. To make efforts for the all round development of community through inclusion of youths in devepment process.

2. To organize game and sports tournaments and other recreational programmes in local and district level.

3. To promote youths' concern and responsibility for the conservation and protection of public land and other heritages locally fount; which have historical, ecological and archeogical importance.

4. To run a social compaign for the abolishment of social and socail discriminations, superstitions, wrong and bad culture and traditions that have deeply rooted in society as anti-development process.

5. To conduct peoples' awareness programme and trainings on reproductive health and sexual diseases.

6. To make efforts for pure drinking water, good education, health and sanitation.

7. For the economic upliftment of local people, micro savings will be encouraged.

8. To movilize youths for the conservation and protection of natural resources and forests as well. Also, to provide due assistance to the forest consumer commitee.

9. To help and collect assistance for the victims of natural disaster and clamities.

10. Co-ordination among the local agencies and their involvement will be emphasized while conducting social development and people awareness programme in the community.
